For some time the seo specialists (and a lot of other guys that have some idea about search engine optimization) has recommended that URLs on the page should contain hyphens instead underscore because the some search engines were considering hyphens as word separators but the underscores were just letters inside words. But lately, at least since 2007 for Google, all main search engines are considering both as word separators. Some of them considered underscores as separators from the beginning. There are people that still don't know that: I've seen recent articles (written at the end of last year) that still treats underscores as letter inside words.

As a web developer I started to use underscores to separate words from the beginning because of the language: I am generating the URL from the title or the article (whatever the content – no matter if it's a blog, a news portal or an online store) and there are a lot of words that uses hyphens as the grammar requires in the Romanian language (I could give you some examples, but it would be meaningless for the most of you) and even some names contains hyphens.

As I told you in the earlier articles, the best URL is the one that's readable by both the humans and the search engines and it's the clearest and easiest to understand. From my point of view, these conditions are accomplished using underscores as word separators and the hyphens only where they are needed.

Wordpress, for example, started from the beginning with the hyphens as word deliminator and they are stick with it. That's a good thing, even sometimes I am not sure if the names in the titles are of two individuals or one name created from two other names put together.

The page is created to be dinamic, there is the option to add anytime new services and new fields of activity. There is optimised for search engines and the user has the option to fill in and dinamic the metatags.

The page is dedicated to the presentation and sell of a software for learning foreign languages. It containes some examples of lessons and tests, the rest will become available after the purchase of their package (the payment is done through Paypal). For the moment there are only the packages for learning the languages english, french and german, but the webpage/software will be developed further and there will be added new ones.

The software was wrote in java and it can be downloaded free from the page. It containes lessons, test, transcript and translations, you can read them by purchasing the packages for learning languages. Two groups have been created for the romanian specialists. The first one is on xing and the second one is on linkedin.

The groups are intented to gather the romanian internet specialists (web designers, seo, etc) and IT specialists (for software, hardware and networks) for changing ideas, expertise.
Everybody that can help to develop and improve the romanian internet is welcome.

The first and about my only contact with Petru Clej was when we discussed about the gipsies and the coined term rrom that has been used for them during the last years. It was a discussion from different positions but it is irrelevant from the point of view of the messages that continued to come from him.

In this manner I want to forewarn you about a form of spam by means of it can be sent mails from different e-mail addresses (they keep changing in time), with no possibility to unsubscribe. Even if, initially, it was given the accept to receive the messages to promote the weekly magazine from the web page http://www.acum.tv, actually a domain parked at http://www.romanialibera.com/, there is no clear method to stop the messages. Yes, there are spam filters, but they are not a guarantied solution when the e-mail address changes constantly. You can delete the messages with no opening them, but when there are a lot of messages (from different senders) it only becomes a great lose of time and energy. Yes, there is the possibility to send the response messages to the sender asking him/her to stop, but the reaction to this kind of message depends by every person. There is also the possibility to report the sender to the authorities for sending spam, a solution for this being http://www.abuse.ro/report/add .

The choice is yours.
